IndusInd Media & Communications Ltd. (IMC), a subsidiary of Hinduja Ventures Ltd. is one of India's largest integrated media companies. IMCL is the pioneer and one of the largest multi system operators in the country. IMCL has a pan India presence with a reach of around 9 million subscribers in 32 locations and also offers over 300 channels in the digital mode (IN Digital) and about 90 TV channels in the analogue mode (IN Cablenet).

Most of the major cities of IMCL are digital enabled by digital headends or IP. It has plans for rapid digitalisation and expansion in the next two years with an expectation to reach over two million digital homes and over 10 million analogue homes.

  • IN Cablenet Analogue Cable
    IMCL

    Launched in 1995, IMCL pioneered the concept of multi-system operation through franchise arrangements with small local area cable operators and then expanding to centralised headends that serves the entire city.

    8.5 million cable-connected TV homes across India receive their television programmes from IN Cablenet. This is the brand name of India's largest and the world's tenth largest cable TV service provider owned by IMCL. The key differentiator is the 10,000 km of hybrid fibre optic cable network of which 2,000 km is of underground fibre. The network is two-way enabled to the nodes and spread over 32 cities which include major metros and others with high Television Rating Points.

  • IN Digital Digital Cable

    Digital TV delivers not only better services but also gives a greater choice to satisfy customers' demand for more number of channels and content. IN Digital, IMCL's digital cable service, is easy to use with rich features of application delivering the best digital viewing to viewers.

    Most of the major cities of IMCL are digital enabled by digital headends or IP. The active installation of digital set top boxes (STB) in over 17 cities has helped in key markets and to expand and grow in the new geographies. The impetus is to install STBs in non conditional access system areas for head start in digitalisation and expansion in newer markets.

    IMCL presently provides over 300 channels through IN Digital networks, including radio / audio channels, which is currently the maximum number of channels provided on any distribution platform in India. It continues to invest in digital technology for superior customer viewing experience in its principal business of Pay TV distribution. Additional digital headends are being installed at new locations.

  • IN2Cable Internet on Cable
      In2Cable

    IN2Cable is the broadband / internet division of IMCL. Through its internet service provider (ISP) license broadband and internet services are provided through cable modems, Ethernet and new technologies. Services are currently available in 12 major IMCL cities.

    The broadband services have plans for massive growth with cable digitalisation and the new national broadband policy of the Government and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

  • IN Phone VOIP/ Internet Telephony
     InPhone

    Being provided to Hinduja Group in India and worldwide, voice over Internet Protocol will be launched soon for IMCL subscribers and for commercial establishments who use IN2Cable.
