The Foundation values quality healthcare for all without discrimination, a cherished ideal of late P. D. Hinduja. In 1951 he established an outdoor clinic in Mumbai which evolved into the renowned P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre which is run by the National Health & Education Society. The Foundation has many other Healthcare related projects. A fulfillment of Founder P. D. Hinduja’s dream, it is a not-for –profit institution providing free or subsidized quality healthcare to the needy and the underprivileged. ASCI-Hinduja Institute of Healthcare Management (HIHM)
This institute offers post graduate courses in Healthcare Management for training hospital and health scheme administrators. It has been created by Hinduja Foundation in collaboration with the renowned Administrative Staff College of India in Hyderabad and the Johns Hopkins University in USA. The course modules were developed with the help of the Johns Hopkins University, USA and the visiting JHU faculty taught in the initial years. For further information visit

P D Hinduja Sindhi Charitable Hospital
Established in 1967 and run by the Sindhi Youth Association, Bangalore, Hinduja Foundation is closely associated with this hospital, helping with its modernisation. Over the years the hospital has consistently gained in stature and reputation, and is now a 75 bed hospital with all the important specialities. Now P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai is also assisting in the up-gradation of its facilities and services.

Collaboration with AAPI
The Hinduja Foundation's quest for up-gradation of healthcare facilities in India has prompted it to join hands with the 32,000 member American Association of Physicians of Indian origin (AAPI), with the objective of bringing to India well qualified and experienced doctors from USA to upgrade the expertise of the doctors of P. D. Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai; to provide quality medical care and continuing medical education; to ensure co-operation in research and pursue joint projects in the fields of Coronary Artery Disease, Osteoporosis and Asthma; and to provide consultancy, technology and treatment support to AAPI dispensaries in India on a case to case basis.
