Bus and truck maker Ashok Leyland Ltd on Monday reported a 12.6 per cent growth in sales for the year ended March 31, 2006, at 61,626 units against 54,740 units last year.
Domestic sales accelerated by 18.4 per cent to 56,747 units as against 47,928 units during the year.
Exports, however, slipped 28.3 per cent to 4,879 units against 6,812 units.
During March, sales rose 15 per cent to 8,548 units from 7,432 units a year earlier. Domestic sales rose 27 per cent to 8,058 units from 6,352 a year earlier in March, while exports fell to 490 units from 1,080 units.
