Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd (GOCL) and Ashok Leyland launched in Chennai their co-branded oils for the entire range of Ashok Leyland commercial vehicles.
In the current competitive market scenario, great emphasis is being laid by the vehicle manufacturers on reduction of operational costs of the vehicles. This initiative of launching co-branded oils by GOCL and Ashok Leyland will go a long way in meeting their joint commitment towards lowering the operational costs of vehicle owners. The product range consists of 12 different grades including engine oils, transmission oils, greases, brake fluids, power steering fluid and hydraulic oil.
N C Sekharan - head Lubes - SBU, GOCL, says, "This range of hi-tech, co-branded engine oils are completely compatible with the low emission engine requirements conforming to BS 11 & BS III emission regulations."

The GOCL R&D centre at Silvassa, which is recognised by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, developed this exclusive long drain engine oil for the latest low emission BS 11 and BS III vehicles of Ashok leyland. Based on the exhaustive field trials conducted jointly by GOCL and Ashok Leyland, this exclusive oil was approved for extended oil change intervals.
The customers stand to benefit with longer intervals for engine oil change - from the current 16,000 km to 36,000 km in the long haul, 125 per cent increase in oil service period; and from 16,000 km to 36,000 km; 12,000 km to 24,000 km in the stop-and-go city application.
The products are available in various pack sizes catering to bulk and other market requirements. The product performance is guaranteed by Ashok Leyland and will be sold nationally through the 400-strong distributor network of GOCL and approximately 250 strong networks of Ashok Leyland dealers and service stations. |
